Central University of Finance and Economics Economics, or Central University of Finance and economics for short, is located in Beijing, China. It is a University jointly built by the Ministry of education, the Ministry of Finance and Beijing municipality directly under the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China. It is a national "world-class discipline construction university", a national "211 Project" and one of the first batch of "985 project advantage discipline innovation platform" construction universities. It has been selected into the national "2011 plan", "111 plan" and outstanding legal talents It includes the talent education and training plan, the national construction of high-level university public postgraduate program, the National College Students' innovative experiment plan, the National College Students' innovation and entrepreneurship training plan, the National College Students' cultural quality education base, the receiving institutions of Chinese government scholarship for foreign students in China, the implementing institutions of Confucius Institute Scholarship of Hanban, and the Virtual Institute of the United Nations Conference on Trade and development It is a member of the alliance and has the right to set up undergraduate majors of economics and management independently.The Central University of Finance and economics was founded on November 6, 1949. At the beginning of its establishment, it was under the charge of the Ministry of finance. Its names were central taxation school and Central Institute of finance. In August 1952, it merged with the economic departments of Peking University, Tsinghua University, Yanjing University and Furen university to establish the Central College of Finance and economics, which is under the charge of the Ministry of higher education. In May 1996, the Central College of Finance changed its name to the Central University of Finance and economics. In October 1998, the central financial management cadre college established on the basis of the central financial and Financial Cadre College was incorporated into the Central University of Finance and economics. In February 2000, the school was transferred from the Ministry of finance to the Ministry of education.As of September 2019, the university has 1801 teaching staff, including 1230 full-time teachers; 10127 ordinary undergraduates, 4856 postgraduates, 726 doctoral students, 508 international students and 2781 adult education students, with 19 colleges and 55 undergraduate majors; the total area is 1027165 square meters, including 141962 square meters of South Xueyuan Road Campus and 789798 square meters of Shahe campus square meter.
