China University of political science and law Law University, located in Beijing, is directly under the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China. It ranks among the national "world-class discipline construction universities", "211 Project", "985 project advantage discipline innovation platform", "2011 plan", "111 plan", "excellent legal personnel education and training plan", "national construction of high-level university public postgraduate project" and "National Law University" College Students' cultural quality education base and the national legal publicity and education base are members of the "lege alliance". They are the receiving institutions of Chinese government scholarship for international students in China. They are a national key university with the characteristics and advantages of law, as well as literature, history, philosophy, economics, management, education, science, engineering and other disciplines.The predecessor of China University of political science and law is Beijing University of political science and law, which was formed in 1952 by the combination of law, political science and sociology of Peking University, Tsinghua University, Yanjing University and Furen University. In 1954, the school moved to Xueyuan Road; in 1960, it became a national key university. During the cultural revolution, the school was closed and resumed in 1978. In 1983, Beijing University of political science and law merged with the Central School of political science and law to form China University of political science and law. In 1985, the school opened Changping campus.As of December 2017, China University of political science and law has set up Changping campus and Haidian campus, with a total of 173722 square meters of teaching and administrative space, 197476200 yuan of teaching and scientific research equipment, and 2466000 volumes of paper literature. As of January 2020, the university has 18 teaching units, 24 undergraduate majors, 38 doctoral degree authorization points, 78 master's degree authorization points, 8 professional master's degree authorization points and 4 post doctoral research mobile stations. As of September 2019, there are 17627 students on campus, including 9583 mainland undergraduates, 7175 graduate students, 869 overseas Chinese and foreign students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and 955 teaching and research post teachers.
