Tianjin Chengjian university is an ordinary university in Tianjin.The University was founded in 1978, formerly known as the fourth branch of Tianjin University, relying on Tianjin University to provide undergraduate education; in 1979, it was renamed as architectural branch of Tianjin University, in 1987, it was renamed as Tianjin Institute of urban construction, and in 2013, it was renamed as Tianjin University of urban construction.As of March 2018, the University covers an area of 610100 square meters, with a total value of 296 million yuan in teaching and scientific research equipment. It has 14 colleges, 1 teaching department, 1 teaching center and 1 College of continuing education, 54 undergraduate majors, 846 full-time teachers and 16718 full-time students, including 15526 undergraduates, 980 postgraduates, 165 international students and 47 preparatory students.
