Hebei University of Technology Engineering, hue), located in Handan City, Hebei Province, is a full-time ordinary university jointly built by the people's Government of Hebei Province and the Ministry of water resources to cultivate high-level talents for the country and regions. It is selected as a second-level University of national first-class university construction in Hebei Province, the first batch of pilot schools of key backbone universities and Emergency Management College Construction in Hebei Province, and a member unit of CDIO Engineering Education Alliance 。The predecessor of the school is Hebei Institute of engineering, which was formed on April 16, 2003 by the merger of the former Hebei Institute of architecture and Technology (including the Handan branch of North China Institute of water conservancy and hydropower, which was merged on April 5, 2002), Handan Medical College and Handan Agricultural College. On February 14, 2006, it was renamed as Hebei Engineering University.As of November 2019, the new campus of the University covers an area of 4098 mu, with a building area of 766500 square meters. It has 87 undergraduate majors, 1 postdoctoral research mobile station, 15 first-class disciplines authorized by master's degree, and 12 categories authorized by master's degree.
