Hebei University of economics and trade is a key university in Hebei Province. It is a multi-disciplinary university of Finance and economics with economics, management and law as the main subjects and literature, science, engineering and art as well.The school began in 1953 with Shijiazhuang cooperation school of Hebei supply and marketing cooperatives, and was established in 1995 by the merger of Hebei University of Finance and economics, Hebei University of economics and trade, and Hebei College of Commerce. In 2016, the University became a provincial doctoral project construction unit in Hebei Province.As of June 2019, the school covers an area of more than 2950 mu, with more than 40% of the green area. It is divided into three campuses: North, South and West. The headquarters of the school is located in the north campus, mainly holding undergraduate, graduate and international education. The South and West campuses are independent colleges, School of economics and management; 15 undergraduate colleges, 3 teaching departments (centers); 10 first-class disciplines authorized by master's degree; 58 master's degree There are more than 22800 full-time undergraduates, postgraduates and international students, more than 8800 independent college students and more than 20000 continuing education students; there are 1949 teaching staff, including 1188 full-time teachers.
