Founded in 2005, Yanjing Institute of technology is a full-time regular undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of education. Its predecessor is North College of Beijing University of chemical technology. In 2012, the University obtained the right to confer bachelor's degree. In 2013, it was transferred to Yanjing Institute of technology with the approval of the Ministry of education. In 2015, it became one of the first batch of Pilot Universities for transformation and development in Hebei Province. In 2016, the University became the provincial master's project construction unit in Hebei Province.The school has nine secondary colleges, nine disciplines of engineering, management, arts, economics, science, law, medicine and education, 59 undergraduate majors and 29 junior college majors. There are more than 24000 students in the school, and more than 46000 excellent graduates have been sent to the country.
