Changzhi University, located in Changzhi City, Shanxi Province, is a comprehensive full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China.Founded in 1958, formerly known as Jindongnan normal college; approved by the Ministry of education in 2004, it was upgraded to a comprehensive full-time regular undergraduate university and a bachelor's degree awarding unit; since 2012, it has jointly trained master's degree students with Shanxi Normal University, and in 2018, it was approved as a provincial master's degree awarding unit in Shanxi Province.According to the official website of the University in September 2019, the university now covers an area of 337000 square meters, with a building area of 306000 square meters; there are 14 teaching departments and 39 undergraduate majors (as of March 2020); there are 701 teaching staff, including 543 full-time teachers, 30 professors, 164 Associate professors, 78 doctors and 491 masters; there are 12583 full-time ordinary undergraduates.
