China Medical University China Medical University (CMU), located in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning Province, is a University jointly built by the National Health Commission, the Ministry of education and the people's Government of Liaoning Province. Its predecessor was the Military Medical School of the Red Army of China workers and peasants. It was founded in November 1931. Its original location was in Yudu, Jiangxi Province. In October 1932, it added a dispensing class and changed its name to the Health School of the Red Army of China workers and peasants. It moved to Xingguo in April 1933 and Ruijin in August 1933. In 1934, he followed the long march of the Central Red Army. It is the only school that has completed the long march. In 1940, Comrade Mao Zedong proposed to officially change the name of Yan'an Medical University. In 1948, he took over the former national Shenyang Medical College (established in 1911), and in 1949, he took over and merged the former private Liaoning Medical College (established in 1883).
