China Pharmaceutical University Located in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, the university is a multidisciplinary key university directly under the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China. It is a national "world-class discipline construction university", a national "211 Project" and "985 project advantage discipline innovation platform" construction university. It has been selected into the national "111 plan", the new engineering research and practice project, and the receiving University of Chinese government scholarship for international students The Ministry of education "excellent engineer education and training program" medical colleges.China Pharmaceutical University was founded in 1936, formerly known as the National College of Pharmacy (four-year undergraduate system). He moved to Hankou in 1937, Chongqing in 1938 and Nanjing in 1946. In 1950, it was renamed East China Pharmaceutical College. In 1952, the pharmacy department of Qilu University and the pharmacy specialty of Soochow University were merged into the University and East China Pharmaceutical College was established. In 1953, the pharmacy specialty of Zhongnan Health College was incorporated into the school. In 1956, it was renamed Nanjing Pharmaceutical University. In 1986, it merged with Nanjing College of traditional Chinese medicine to establish China Pharmaceutical University. In 1996, it became the key construction University of the national "211 Project". In 2000, the school was transferred from the State Drug Administration to the Ministry of education. In 2001, Jiangsu Pharmaceutical School was merged into the school.According to the official website of the University in April 2020, the university has two campuses, Xuanwumen and Jiangning, covering an area of more than 2100 mu, with a construction area of nearly 560000 square meters; it has 14 departments, 29 undergraduate majors and 3 junior college (Higher Vocational) majors; there are 1661 in-service staff and 16465 full-time students, including 11781 junior college students, 4253 graduate students, 366 international students and 65 preparatory students.
