Zhejiang a & F University, referred to as "Zhejiang agriculture and Forestry University", is the only provincial agricultural and Forestry University in Zhejiang Province. It is a University jointly built by Zhejiang Provincial People's government and the State Forestry Administration of the people's Republic of China. It is a key construction university in Zhejiang Province and has been selected into the national "111 plan" "Education and training plan for outstanding agricultural and forestry talents" is a member unit of CDIO Engineering Education Alliance and national agricultural science and technology innovation alliance. It has been approved as the first State Key Laboratory of Zhejiang Provincial Universities and won the first prize of provincial science and technology for seven consecutive years.Founded in 1958, it was called Tianmu Forestry College. In 1966, it was renamed Zhejiang Forestry College. In July 1970, it merged with Zhejiang Agricultural University. In February 1979, it resumed its independent operation. In 2000, it founded Tianmu College of Zhejiang agriculture and Forestry University (now Jiyang College of Zhejiang agriculture and Forestry University), and in 2010, it was renamed Zhejiang agriculture and Forestry University.At present, there are 3 first-class disciplines in Zhejiang Province (Class A), 9 first-class disciplines in Zhejiang Province (class B), 4 top 1% disciplines in ESI discipline field, and 5 key disciplines and key cultivation disciplines of State Forestry and grassland administration.. The university has signed cooperation agreements with more than 80 universities and scientific research institutions in 23 countries (regions), including the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Finland, Japan and Australia. It has jointly trained talents with the University of British Columbia in Canada and the University of Helsinki in Finland, and built a Confucius Institute with Novi Sad University in Serbia.
