University of science and technology of China Located in Hefei City, Anhui Province, China is a comprehensive national key university under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which is mainly based on cutting-edge science and high-tech, and also has medical, characteristic management and humanities disciplines. It is directly under the central government and under the sub ministerial level system. It is jointly built by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of education and Anhui Province. After its establishment, the Chinese Academy of Sciences implemented the school running policy of "running the whole academy and combining departments". It gathered a group of famous scientists, such as Yan Jici, Hua Luogeng, Qian Xuesen, Zhao Zhongyao, Guo yonghuai and Zhao Jiuzhang, and was listed as a national key university in the second year of its establishment. In early 1970, the University moved to Beijing Hefei City, Anhui Province, started its second venture; after 1978, the school established a youth class, built a graduate school for the first time, built a national science project, opened to the world and other new initiatives; it is also the only university to participate in the national knowledge innovation project.As of November 2019, the university has 20 colleges (including 6 science and education integration colleges), 33 departments, Suzhou Research Institute, Shanghai Research Institute, Beijing Research Institute, advanced technology research institute, the First Affiliated Hospital, etc.; 12 national scientific research institutions, 4 national key science and technology infrastructure and 62 provincial and ministerial key scientific research institutions.
