Sanming university is located in Sanming City, an emerging industrial city in Fujian Province and an excellent tourist city in China on the west side of the Straits. It is a provincial undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of education in May 2004. It implements the management system of Co Construction of provinces and cities and city oriented.Its predecessor is Sanming College. In October 2000, Sanming normal college, Sanming Vocational University and Sanming normal school were merged and established. The school running history can be traced back to the Fujian Normal School founded by Chen Baochen in 1903. In June 2012, it passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of education. In January 2018, the University was newly established as the project construction unit of Fujian Province from 2018 to 2020.As of January 2018, the school covers an area of 1312 mu, with various building areas of about 335600 square meters; the total value of teaching equipment is 170.2038 million yuan; the collection of books is 4.7244 million (including 3.1931 million e-books); there are 15 secondary teaching institutions and colleges of continuing education; 12 school level research institutes have been built; 718 full-time teachers and 14017 full-time students.
