Linyi University, referred to as "Linyi University" (Lyu), is located in Linyi City, Shandong Province, the capital of Commerce and logistics in China and the scenic spot of ecological tourism. Founded in 1941, the school has come down in one continuous line with Binhai Jianguo college, which was jointly established by the CPC Binhai District Party committee and the first branch of the Chinese people's Anti Japanese military and Political University. In November 2010, initiated by Kong xianduo and other educators, the school changed its name from Linyi Normal University to Linyi University.Linyi university is a comprehensive university established by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China and affiliated to Shandong Province. It is the key construction University of the national development and Reform Commission's "integration of production and education" project, the key construction University of Shandong Province's "application-oriented talents training characteristic famous school project", the first batch of national "Chinese literature and art review base" universities in China and the only national "excellent teacher training plan" universities in Shandong Province, and the CDIO Engineering Education Association Members of the league. The main campus is designed by EDSA company of the United States. The library, experimental center, art center and sports center are all one of the largest single buildings in Asia. The advanced digital campus system in China has been built, and the infrastructure is in the forefront of domestic universities.As of January 2018, the school building area is 1.52 million square meters, the total value of teaching and scientific research equipment is more than 300 million yuan, the collection of paper books is more than 4.3 million, and the collection of e-books is more than 750000. It has one master's degree authorized first-class discipline and two master's professional degree authorized categories; it has 20 second-class colleges and 85 undergraduate majors, covering 11 university disciplines. There are more than 2700 associate professors.
