Zibo Vocational College, located in Zibo City, Shandong Province, the former capital of Qi, is a national model higher vocational college.The college originated from Zibo business school established in 1956; Zibo Vocational College was established in July 2002; Zibo Vocational College of science and technology and Shandong light industry and fine arts school were merged into Zibo Vocational College in 2009; it was selected as one of the construction units of 100 National Demonstrative Higher Vocational Colleges in 2007, and passed the acceptance in May 2010. It is the first batch of high-quality higher vocational colleges in Shandong Province. In August 2016, it was selected as the second batch of national modern apprenticeship pilot units.According to the school's official website in December 2015, the college has a planned area of 3000 mu, a built-up area of 2192 Mu and a construction area of 660000 square meters; the value of teaching instruments and equipment is 164 million yuan, and the collection of paper books is more than 1.46 million; there are 1393 Teaching staff and more than 26000 full-time students; the college has 18 departments and 75 Higher Vocational Majors. In December, 2019, the school was listed in the second category by the Ministry of finance.
