Xuchang College Located in Xuchang City, Henan Province, the university is a provincial full-time regular undergraduate college. It has been selected into the national "13th five year plan" industry education integration development engineering application-oriented undergraduate college construction project and the Ministry of education data China "100 school project". The university is one of the first batch of "pilot units for transformation and development of local undergraduate colleges" in Henan Province and the first batch of "demonstration application technology type undergraduate colleges" in Henan Province Institutions ".Xuchang college was founded in August 1942 as the joint normal school of the fifth administrative region of Henan Province; in 1959, it was approved by the State Council as a normal college; in 1963, it was adjusted to a secondary normal school due to national economic difficulties; in 1978, the first batch of normal colleges were re established; in March 2002, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of education; in 2012, it passed the Ministry of education's regular undergraduate college teaching work assessment.
