Xinxiang university is a public full-time undergraduate college, located in Xinxiang City.The school running history can be traced back to Taihang public Xinxiang normal school, which was established in 1949. In 2007, with the approval of the Ministry of education, Xinxiang normal college, Pingyuan University and Xinxiang Education College were merged and upgraded to undergraduate colleges. In 2014, it passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of education.As of April 2019, the school covers an area of 2130 mu, the school building area is nearly 750000 square meters, the total value of teaching and scientific research equipment is about 420 million yuan, and the library has 1.68 million paper books, 1.11 million e-books, 1520 Chinese and foreign newspapers and 50 kinds of databases. The school has 60 undergraduate majors and 29 junior college majors, with 1800 teaching staff, more than 25000 full-time undergraduate and junior college students and more than 10000 adult students.
