Sanmenxia vocational and technical college, located in Sanmenxia City, is a public full-time college approved by the Ministry of education. It is one of the colleges with the longest history of running school and the earliest qualification of higher vocational education among similar colleges in Henan Province.The history of running the school can be traced back to Shaanxi Normal School in Henan Province in 1946; in 1999, Sanmenxia Institute of technology, Sanmenxia radio and Television University and Western Henan Normal School merged to form Sanmenxia vocational and technical college.
