Henan Institute of economics and trade, located in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, is a full-time ordinary college approved by the people's Government of Henan Province and registered by the Ministry of education in 2004, which is under the management of Henan Provincial Department of education.Its predecessor is Henan business cadre school and Henan business school. Henan business cadre school was founded in 1950 in xuexuemen street of Kaifeng City, Henan business school was founded in 1960 in Jiejian street of Zhengzhou city. In 1990, the two schools worked together at 36 nongnong road. In 2001, he and Henan University of Finance and economics jointly run the school, named Henan University of Finance and Economics Vocational College of economics and trade. In 2004, it was upgraded to Henan Vocational College of economics and trade. Since 2015, it has jointly held application-oriented undergraduate education with North China University of water resources and hydropower. In 2017, the college was selected into the construction project of national quality higher vocational colleges in Henan Province.As of April 2016, the school has three campuses, covering an area of 843 Mu and a construction area of 450000 square meters. The total number of school teachers is 996, including 732 full-time teachers. The school has 9 teaching departments, 2 teaching departments, and 1 demonstrative software vocational and Technical College of Henan Province, with a total of 52 majors and more than 21000 students. The university has a collection of 1.02 million books. It has jointly held two Sino foreign cooperative education projects with Northern Institute of Applied Technology of Canada and two application-oriented undergraduate programs with North China University of water resources and hydropower.
