Guangzhou Panyu vocational and technical college, located in Panyu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, is a full-time public college. It is one of the first batch of national model higher vocational colleges, the first batch of national modern apprenticeship pilot units, Guangdong provincial model higher vocational colleges, and Guangzhou Municipal Leading higher vocational education institutions.Panyu Polytechnic College was established in 1993, affiliated to Guangzhou University from 1993 to 1994, approved by Guangdong Provincial Government in 1995, and officially approved by the Ministry of education in September 1997. It is one of the first batch of public full-time ordinary higher vocational colleges in China and the first one in Guangzhou. In 2003, it was identified as the leading college of Municipal Higher Vocational Education by Guangzhou municipal government; in December 2006, it became the first batch of "National Model Higher Vocational Colleges" project construction units; in 2008, it became the "Guangdong Model Higher Vocational Colleges" project construction units; in June 2008, it was renamed as Guangzhou Panyu vocational and technical college; in December 2009, it passed the acceptance of national model higher vocational colleges.According to the school's official website in June 2016, the school covers an area of 2067 mu, with a building area of 326500 square meters. The total value of fixed assets is more than 75274 million yuan, of which the total value of teaching and scientific research equipment is more than 201 million yuan, and the library has 1088000 paper books. In December, 2019, the school was listed in the second category by the Ministry of finance.
