Yulin Normal University is located in Yulin City, an excellent tourist city in China and southeast of Guangxi. It is a full-time undergraduate university directly under the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and one of the four Pilot Universities for comprehensive reform of higher education in Guangxi. In 2016, it was selected into the "100 schools project" cooperation colleges of China according to the Ministry of education.The predecessor of the school is Guangxi Normal School founded in 1945. In 1952, it was renamed Yulin Normal School. In 1958, it was upgraded to Yulin Teachers College. In 1978, Yulin Teachers College was restored with the approval of the State Council. In 1994, it was renamed Yulin Teachers College. In 2000, with the approval of the Ministry of education, Yulin Teachers College, Yulin Institute of education, Yulin vocational and technical college and Yulin Branch of Guangxi Radio and Television University were merged and upgraded to Yulin Teachers College. In 2015, it was identified as one of the four Pilot Universities for comprehensive reform of higher education in Guangxi.As of June 2019, the school covers an area of 1746 mu. The university has 16 secondary colleges, covering 10 disciplines such as economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, management, agriculture and art, and 63 general undergraduate majors. At present, there are 1330 teaching staff, 1002 full-time teachers and 806 teachers with doctor's and master's degrees. At present, the university has 18550 full-time students, and has trained nearly 1100 foreign students.
