Wuzhou University, located in Wuzhou City, Guangxi Province, is a multi-disciplinary local full-time regular undergraduate college jointly built by the people's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the people's Government of Wuzhou City. It is supported by Guangxi University and selected into the "hundred school project" of China.Wuzhou University was founded in 1985. In October 2003, the former Wuzhou Education College and the former Wuzhou normal school were merged into Wuzhou branch of Guangxi University. In February 2006, the Ministry of Education approved the establishment of Wuzhou college on the basis of Wuzhou branch of Guangxi University.According to the official website of the University in March 2020, the university has three campuses: the north campus, the normal campus and the east campus. The campus covers an area of more than 1700 mu, with 16970 full-time students, 188 international students and more than 1100 teaching staff. It has 51 undergraduate majors and 22 higher Vocational Majors.
