Yunnan University of traditional Chinese medicine (hereinafter referred to as Yunzhong) is located in Kunming City, Yunnan Province. It is a University jointly built by Yunnan Provincial People's government and the State Administration of traditional Chinese medicine. It is the second batch of higher undergraduate colleges of traditional Chinese medicine established in China. It is the only Undergraduate College of traditional Chinese medicine in Yunnan Province.The predecessor of Yunnan University of traditional Chinese medicine is Yunnan College of traditional Chinese medicine, which was established in 1960. In 1986, it was granted the right to confer a master's degree. In 2016, it became a University jointly built by Yunnan Provincial People's government and the State Administration of traditional Chinese medicine. In 2018, it was renamed Yunnan University of traditional Chinese medicine.As of January 2020, the university has three campuses, Chenggong, Baita and Yiliang, covering an area of more than 990 mu, with a total construction area of 410 mu; there are 11 secondary colleges, 1 Public Course Teaching Department, 1 Experimental Center and 1 Research Institute, 27 undergraduate majors, 1 first-class discipline doctoral degree awarding point, 4 first-class disciplines (covering 24 second-class disciplines) Master's degree programs, and 4 professional master's degree programs There are 741 teaching staff and 11943 full-time students, including 10318 undergraduates, 1352 postgraduates, 5 doctoral students and 268 international students.
