Xinjiang police college is an ordinary undergraduate college which is established on the basis of Xinjiang police college in April 2012 with the approval of the Ministry of education to meet the needs of Xinjiang public security political and legal work and team construction.The history of the college can be traced back to the people's Public Security School of Xinjiang Province, which was founded in April 1950.According to the official website of the college in 2014, there are 588 staff, including 291 full-time teachers, 12 professors, 75 associate professors, 121 lecturers, 4308 full-time students, including 774 undergraduates and 3534 junior college students. The police management is fully closed. The first batch of undergraduate students of the college set up four majors, namely investigation, public security, information security and law, and began to recruit students in 2012. In addition, the college offers such specialties as investigation, public security management, police management, traffic management, information network security supervision, Chinese minority language and culture (Uygur Language), Chinese (Chinese language), judicial assistant, legal affairs, etc.
